Respected/ Importers of poultry meat and table eggs and their products
Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, would like to inform you about the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. 36589 / A dated 15/7/1439, on a temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, table eggs, and their products and equipment from the SAMDRUP JONGKHAR region in the Kingdom of Bhutan. It is because of the emergence of highly pathogenic avian influenza. There is an exception of the temporary ban that if the poultry meat, table eggs, and their product are thermally treated or in any other way that can eliminate the avian influenza virus. This should be in accordance with the requirements and health controls and approved standard specifications. A health certificate should be attached in order to prove that the product is a thermal agent or in any other way capable of eradicating the avian influenza virus, and it should be issued by the competent official authorities in the Kingdom of Bhutan. This temporary ban continues until the health status of livestock is stabilized.
